Patent Engineer

The main missions of the role are as follows:

1.Assist our inventors to identify and complete Invention Disclosure Forms (IDF) which implies visits at/video call with our Chinese R&D centers;

2.Assess the patentability of the IDF;

3.Ensure the cooperation with external Patent Attorneys and the quality of our patent filing;

4.Prepare the patent filing/extension decisions for Patent Committees;

5.In cooperation with internal and external Patent Analysts, manage patent search works;

6.Prepare Patent Clearance and Freedom To Operate analysis.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

1.An Engineer Degree or Master's degree in Mechanics or Physics;

2.Knowledge in patent laws and procedures, notably the Chinese, European and US;

3.Experienced in patent matters in the automotive industry or any mechanical or plastic industry;

4.Knowledge in patent searching would be an advantage;

5.Fluent English (mandatory);

6.Team player with good communication skills and able to work in a multicultural environment.
